Sebastopol, CA—If you're looking for the nation's top photographers next week, you may want to start at the Jacob Javits Center in New York City—where PhotoPlus Expo 2008 will be taking place. And some of the best known shooters are O'Reilly's own highly regarded authors. A full schedule of their speaking events is below.
Our recent announcement of upcoming CS4 titles highlighted eight books appropriate for everyone from professional designers and digital photographers to the DIY crowd. So be sure to look for these three titles at the Expo: Photoshop Lightroom 2 Adventure, Adobe Photoshop CS4 One-on-One, and The Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers.
Beautifully illustrated and eminently practical, Photoshop Lightroom 2 Adventure offers a complete tour of Lightroom 2. Augmented by photos and case studies from a demanding road test in Tasmania, this new book by award-winning photographer Mikkel Aaland explains how Lightroom can improve the way you work.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 One-on-One is Deke McClelland's next installment in the proven One-on-One learning system, which offers step-by-step tutorials, five hours of DVD-video demonstrations, and hands-on projects to improve your knowledge and hone your skills. Whether you're new to Photoshop or a creative professional interested in the groundbreaking features of CS4, Deke's conversational style and carefully structured lessons guide you easily through the program's fundamental and advanced concepts and techniques.
The Photoshop CS4 Companion for Photographers provides an expert guide to the Photoshop tools you'll use most often. A perfect fit for your laptop bag, this guide is designed to help you process photos in the field. Professional photographer and bestselling author Derrick Story teaches you how to quickly and efficiently organize and edit your photos without compromising the originals.
