Sebastopol, CA, October 27, 2009—The Call for Participation has opened for RailsConf 2010, when the Ruby on Rails community will gather June 7-10, 2010, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD. RailsConf, co-produced by Ruby Central, Inc. and O'Reilly Media, Inc., is the largest official conference dedicated to everything Rails. Program chair Chad Fowler invites proposals for conference sessions, workshops, and panels from Rubyists, hackers, web developers, system administrators, and anyone else with a passion for Rails. Once again, the call for participation will extend an additional three months in order to allow the program to include more up-to-the-minute Rails topics.
RailsConf 2010 will gather Rails and other web developers (independent, startup, enterprise/corporate); more open source developers seeking to expand their skillsets; IT managers tracking emerging technologies; tech-savvy entrepreneurs with business ideas looking to implement web-based startups quickly in order to assess their ideas' potential for success; users at every level; and others interested in web technologies and strategic implementation.
RailsConf 2010 will center around, and invites proposals on:
- Time-saving developer productivity tips, tricks, and tools
- Patterns and best practices for developing maintainable Rails applications
- Rails Internals
